ways to wear

Ever wondered what the heck our “Wearable Throw” is?? Well here you have it!

Multi-use, many ways to wear, and it even lays flat to comfortably fit 3-4 adult sized humans seated for festival days or picnics!

Slow fashion at its very best: the most versatile garment you will ever own, now hand made in heirloom quality by talented Hill Tribe artisans.

Our skilled artisans hand dye luxurious natural yarns then weave each Wearable Throw on a traditional backstrap hand loom. With natural dying, hand weaving, hand-painted ceramic buttons, and detailed finishing, each piece takes many, many hours to create. The result is truly a one-of-a-kind heirloom.

Our Wearable Throws are adaptable: use as a lap or throw blanket or wear it a number of ways—as a poncho; as kimono-esque sleeves; draped over the shoulder; and tunic-style. See “ways to wear” video above.

Care Instructions:

Like most outer garments, your throw won't need to be washed very often. When needed, we recommend hand washing in cold water using mild liquid soap to minimize color fading or bleeding. For the washing machine, use a gentle cycle with your garment inside a mesh laundry bag. Cool water is required to prevent fading or bleeding. Wash with colors only. Do not use bleach, dish soap, or other cleaning products.

First Wash: Hand wash for the first 2-3 washes as described above.

Drying: line dry or air dry flat
